The AVID TOURING-S uses Yokohama's Tri-plex Tread Compound to present all-season traction and long tread life. This compound is molded into a tread design that features Silent Shoulder varying tread block sizes and a Twin Rail Stability Rib that was central to decrease pattern sound. The tread blocks feature Tapered Rain Channels functioning in conjunction with grooves to assist bottled water while Cross Traction sipes provide biting edges to increase traction and enhance wet traction. The internal structure of the tire incorporates twin steel belts reinforced by nylon belt edge strips which are stabilized by tall, tapered rubber sidewall inserts for higher absorption of bumps and road vibrations. The AVID Touring-S delivers exceptional ride quality, stability and wet/dry traction for all season performance.
